Mission
The LZ Amateur Radio Club exists to make amateur radio approachable, useful, and collaborative. The club welcomes new and experienced operators across HF, VHF/UHF, DMR, YSF, EchoLink, Meshtastic, satellites, portable operating, and maker-style RF projects.

Programs
LZARC activity includes in-person meetups, Discord and online meetings, Field Day, Parks on the Air, DMR and digital voice, satellite communications, Meshtastic nodes, fox hunts, workshops, and demonstrations for both new and experienced operators.
Membership
LZARC membership is free. The club is supported by generous donations from members and supporters, along with store sales that help fund community radio work, testing support, educational projects, and shared operating resources.

How do I get connected fastest?
Join the LZARC Discord. It is the best place for daily conversation, project coordination, online meetings, and quick help.
Do I need a license to join?
No. LZARC welcomes people who are studying, newly licensed, returning to radio, or already active across multiple modes.
Are you a competitive club?
No. There is no pressure and no competition. LZARC exists to work alongside and support other clubs, strengthening the broader amateur radio community through cooperation and shared resources. We are about real projects, shared ideas, good conversation, and helping people find their own path into amateur radio, mesh networking, building, coding, and learning something new.
Does LZARC charge membership dues?
No. Membership is free. Donations and store sales help support club activity, community radio projects, testing support, and shared resources.
