How online testing works.

Follow the basic steps to request an online amateur radio exam, prepare your remote testing setup, and meet with the LZARC volunteer examiner team.

    LZARC offers flexible online testing sessions and works around candidate availability whenever possible.

    Pay the exam fee

    Complete any required exam-session payment or fund-supported arrangement before your scheduled test time.

  4. Step 04

    Prepare your setup

    Use a quiet room, reliable internet, camera, microphone, legal ID, and any instructions provided by the testing team.

  5. Step 05

    Take the exam online

    Join the remote session, follow the volunteer examiner instructions, and complete your FCC amateur radio exam.

Submit your exam request and the LZARC testing team will have the details needed to follow up.

Our volunteer examiners offer flexible testing times based on examiner availability. Sessions are often available Sunday and Tuesday evenings around 7:00 PM Central, but other days and times may be available. If you need a different time or special accommodations, just let us know on the request form and we'll do our best to work with your schedule.
