About Chris
Chris Hunt, N0YH, was a respected Volunteer Examiner, mentor, and amateur radio operator from Neosho, Missouri. He served as VE Team Lead for the Kilowatt Amateur Radio Club and was active with the Joplin Amateur Radio Club, helping administer exams both in person and remotely.
He also served as Vice President of the Kilowatt Amateur Radio Club, Treasurer of JARC, and webmaster for both organizations. Chris embraced remote testing early and helped other VE teams adopt modern testing methods.
A retired U.S. Navy veteran, aircraft mechanic, and private pilot, Chris brought technical skill, generosity, and genuine enthusiasm to amateur radio. Above all, he loved helping others earn their license and get on the air.
This fund exists to carry that forward.
